Shattered Elbow Caregivers Group 130803
PostOp Update 130803: Solid night of sleep.
The elbow woke at four asking for hydrocodone, so I obliged after what I put it through yesterday. What a delightful whirlwind of a day Friday was though. My eldest brother Ken Tengesdal and sisters Kristine and Connie Bulow drove down for a visit and meal. They left the fridge very stocked. Austin Flemmer dropped by after work, and to show off his shiny new car. So, those two innocent walks out to the parking lot left my elbow rather agitated. Theatre brother Joey Bohlen phoned to check in. For supper, Nicole Cook and Eli brought over Papa John's. After supper, while I rested in the recliner, we played a game of "Thomas and Friends". Amanda Bakkedahl and Angie Schon showed up with FroYo for the evening. And that is how I recover, with encouragement from close friends.
Inspiration and Blessing 130803: My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. — Psalm 73:26
Request List 130803:
Garbage out;
Monday morn I have a doc appt at 10:30 with PT following and then a pharmacy run -- I need someone to deliver, drop and return or someone to deliver and sit with during the time;
I have a stocked fridge that could use some organizing and/or help consuming leftovers;
my tub might could use a scrub, but could I just live with that;
my right arm and shoulder is growing weary of carrying the burden -- sometimes I wonder if I could ask for help in the shower, especially when it comes to shaving my head (yes, my ego/pride is slipping)...

Encouragement Post 130802: What a delightful time. Thank you Kenny, Kristine and Connie. Laughter and memories; lasagna and cheesecake; coffee and lefse; and much fresh garden produce. A good heart-refueling.
